Dr Chiam Tut Fu obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelors of Surgery (MBBS) from the National University of Singapore in 1990. He went on to attain his Masters of Sports Science (Sports Medicine) degree from the United States Sports Academy where he graduated as the top student and was voted as the Outstanding Student for his year of graduation. Dr Chiam also has a Masters of Medicine (Occupational Medicine) degree and a Graduate Diploma in Occupational Medicine from the National University of Singapore.
Dr Chiam's experience and expertise in Sports Medicine saw him being appointed as a Consultant in Sports Medicine to the Singapore Armed Forces. Dr Chiam also played a key role in the medical classification and fitness deployment standards for pre-enlistment medical screening and grading conducted by the Singapore Armed Forces. He had also provided consultancy to the Ministry of Home Affairs, Singapore Police Force and Singapore Civil Defence Force, Singapore Prisons Services and works closely with the local fitness community. He is the chairman of the medical committee of the Singapore Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation.
Dr Chiam believes that people can embrace an active lifestyle, without pain, to improve the quality of life and add years to their lives. His areas of interests include musculoskeletal pain relief and weight management.
